SVA Consulting professional Heidi Rozmiarek is featured in a guest column for the Milwaukee Business Journal with her article titled “Three Data Management Trends to Watch in 2020”.
The total amount of data generated worldwide is expected to grow by 60% in the next five years. With so much data stacking up, companies are focused on three trends in 2020:
- Data Security – The ways in which data can be breached include everything from poor user authentication practices to phishing schemes. With this in mind, companies are rushing to secure data through encryption, network hardening, employee training, and other techniques.
- Data Automation – With the rise in data volumes, velocity, and variety comes challenges with processing it in a timely and efficient manner. Automating tasks saves time and allows data to be quickly interpreted and applied to achieve results.
- Augmented Analytics – Augmented analytics leverages data science techniques such as artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) to transform large, unstructured data sets into smaller, actionable insights.
