Evan Conroy, Principal at SVA Consulting, recently joined ConverSight CEO and Co-Founder Ganesh Gandhieswaran on the Data Insights Podcast to discuss what businesses should consider before investing further in artificial intelligence.
During the episode, “AI Adoption Readiness: Why AI Projects Stall,” Evan shares why successful AI adoption starts with identifying the business problem rather than selecting a tool. He also discusses the factors organizations should evaluate before implementing AI, including the quality and consistency of their data, documented business processes, employee knowledge and training, and AI policies.
One of the challenges Evan sees is organizations investing in AI capabilities without first determining where the technology can make a meaningful difference. Instead, he encourages businesses to look at where employees are struggling, where processes are inefficient, and where AI could help solve a defined problem.
The conversation also explores the role employees play in AI adoption. Providing access to AI tools is only one part of the process. Organizations also need to help employees understand how the technology can fit into their work, identify opportunities to use it, and feel confident incorporating it into their day-to-day responsibilities.
Evan brings more than a decade of experience helping organizations improve operations, develop strategies, and use data to make informed decisions. His areas of expertise at SVA Consulting include Artificial Intelligence and AI Strategy, Data and Analytics, Change Management, Strategic Planning, and Process Improvement.
