Tormach has spent more than two decades reimagining what it means to manufacture CNC machinery. With a strong foundation in e-commerce and a customer base ranging from engineering firms to garage hobbyists, they’ve made high-quality machining tools accessible and easy to use. Before partnering with SVA Consulting, Tormach was running on a desktop version of QuickBooks that had reached its limits. Their company file had ballooned to multiple gigabytes, making the system unstable. Manual workarounds became the norm, especially for things like sales order entry, inventory updates, and shipping logistics. With no automation and growing frustration, it was clear they had outgrown their existing software in both size and function.
Tormach needed to streamline operations, automate fulfillment, and deliver an Amazon-like experience for their customers. But getting there required a complete shift in how their technology supported the business.
Tormach selected Acumatica ERP for its flexibility, licensing structure, and open API, which allowed them to stay on their Magento web platform and avoid being locked into an all-in-one system. Just as important was choosing the right implementation partner.
That’s where SVA Consulting came in.
SVA guided Tormach through the entire ERP transition, helping the team not only get up and running in Acumatica, but also implement custom API integrations to connect their website, 3PL systems, and inventory tools. The result? A fully automated backend process that mimics the seamless customer journey people now expect from large online retailers.

Today, Tormach is doing three times the business they were in the QuickBooks days, with fewer staff and far less manual data entry. Customers now receive real-time inventory availability, automated shipping updates, and clear tracking details.
Behind the scenes, Tormach’s supply chain has become more agile. The team uses Acumatica’s MRP module to better manage inventory and reduce stockouts, while dashboards help them monitor shipping workflows and flag exceptions quickly. Thanks to SVA’s continued support, they’ve also expanded the relationship to include reviewed financials, putting trust in SVA’s team as both a technical and strategic resource.
