The Wisconsin Credit Union League is the trade association for Wisconsin’s credit unions. They provide advocacy for credit unions on their behalf, as well as educational, legal, and counseling services.

SVA Consulting (SVAC) partnered with The Wisconsin Credit Union League (WCUL) to address their need for a new accounting platform. They have worked with SVAC in the past and felt the firm had a strong understanding of their business processes to help them take advantage of new technologies and move them to a new platform.

“We were looking for a new accounting platform to take advantage of working in the cloud because our team is spread out throughout the state. We also wanted to have more automated processes”, says Beth Ellis, SVP of Finance & Strategic Partnerships. SVAC recommended Acumatica, which was an excellent fit for their needs. “Having worked with SVA Consulting previously, they had a history and understanding of our business processes. We knew they would be able to meet our needs for implementation and ongoing support,” continued Beth.

The installation of Acumatica improved WCUL’s processes and the team immediately saw time-savings in many areas. Their check runs became more efficient as they moved from paper to online tracking and approvals. What was once a couple-hour process is now a matter of minutes. The approval process is now streamlined, making it efficient for senior management to review and approve expenses with automated notifications.

The external audit process also improved with increased controls and the ability to see the internal control processes online. WCUL’s auditors can easily view the transaction and approval records, saving time during the audit process.

“SVA Consulting had a strong implementation team, from the beginning when we were going through the sales process and trying to choose which product to implement to the implementation planning. They have a strong working knowledge of Acumatica, which helped us understand the business improvements we could put in place,” says Beth.
